Puppy Preschool For Puppies 7-16 Weeks Old
If you’re a new puppy parent feeling a bit overwhelmed, this crash course in all things puppy is the perfect class for you. Puppy Preschool covers everything you need to know about raising a healthy and happy pup, including proper socialization, housetraining, crate training, puppy nipping and chewing, jumping, canine development, and more. In addition, these classes will get you started on teaching your pup basic manners and provide fun opportunities to train and bond with your new furry family member. About Amy Blum

In addition to Puppy Preschool Amy Blum offers more advanced classes, as well as in-home private lessons and in depth behavior consults for complex behavior challenges like anxiety and aggression. Amy is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KSA), a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and an active member of the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers certification Exam Committee. Amy is also certified in Dr. Sophia Yin’s Low Stress Handling techniques. Amy has been working with animals for over 20 years and she’s been providing professional pet training and behavior consulting services in Chicago for more than a decade. Amy has BA in psychology with a biology minor from UIC. Her academic background includes research and teaching assistantships in behavioral neuroscience, and she was awarded special honors for independent research in animal behavior. She has completed highly regarded animal training internships at the Animal Behavior Center of New York and the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. She continues her professional development by regularly attending seminars and workshops to stay up-to-date with current research in the field and by participating in respected professional organizations. Amy provides her clients with effective, practical training and behavior solutions to help them successfully navigate “real life” with their dogs. She uses only scientifically sound, dog-friendly training methods that empower dogs to be active and enthusiastic participants in their own training and care.
